Jeana McCormick is a litigator with considerable experience representing a broad spectrum of clients in civil litigation related to employment, civil rights, education, municipal liability, and commercial disputes, as well as other advisory work. Jeana has represented a wide range of clients including local and national businesses, public schools, and municipalities.

Jeana regularly represents clients before state and federal courts in Maine and Massachusetts, as well as administrative agencies such as the Maine Human Rights Commission. Jeana’s successes are noteworthy: she obtained a favorable jury verdict in the defense of a public official in a federal civil rights case, successfully handled the defense of a hospital against employment discrimination claims in an appeal before the Maine Supreme Judicial Court, and successfully defended a school district against employment discrimination claims in an appeal before the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

In recognition of her expertise and professionalism, Jeana has been selected as a “Rising Star” in civil litigation by New England Super Lawyers, and as a “Ones to Watch” by Best Lawyers in Labor and Employment Litigation. Jeana is frequently invited to present at conferences and trainings on emerging topics in school and employment law.
