About

In his practice, Luke provides thoughtful legal advice to public schools on a wide range of complex legal issues with an emphasis on special education law. Luke has substantial experience in advising on matters of policy development, investigations, operational and crisis management, and employment matters.

As a parent to a child living with a disability and an attorney, Luke appreciates the nuances and challenges of the public education system and applicable laws. This personal familiarity, combined with his legal training allows him to support clients with creative solutions to avoid predictable roadblocks, anticipate common challenges, and provide a deeper understanding of how access to educational benefits impact local communities.

Being of service is a hallmark of Luke’s professional life. He is a decorated service member with a distinguished military career, most recently serving as a Judge Advocate General in the New Hampshire Army National Guard. Luke has deployed to the Middle East and trained in Europe, Africa, and South America in support of the Army’s legal mission to represent the legal interests of Soldiers and the U.S. Army. Luke also served as the legal advisor to the Joint Task Force commander responsible for overseeing the New Hampshire National Guard’s support to citizens during the State’s COVID-19 pandemic response. Additionally, Luke represented indigent clients in criminal cases as a New Hampshire Public Defender and has served on a number of non-profit boards in his community that promote equitable learning experiences for all students.

A New Hampshire native, he currently resides in the Upper Valley of New Hampshire with his wife and three children. Luke spends a lot of his time adventuring in the woods in the Upper Valley – running, hiking, and skiing. He plays hockey and coaches youth hockey in his community. After snow storms, you will find Luke clearing off his backyard ice rink. He is also a member of the New Hampshire National Guard biathlon team.
