About

Erin Feltes advises public schools on a full spectrum of complex and ever-evolving school law and special education law matters including policy development and implementation, student rights, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504, student discipline, bullying, investigations, and annual school district meetings. Erin is also a seasoned litigator who regularly represents school districts in administrative hearings before the New Hampshire Department of Education and in litigation before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire.

As a former college administrator, Erin understands firsthand how strong policies and practices best address the needs of students and school employees alike. Drawing on her substantial experience, Erin offers customized trainings on the complex laws affecting public schools, with the goal of improving the education system and proactively reducing potential liability.

Erin was named as a “Rising Star” in New England Super Lawyers, School & Education, each year between 2014 and 2018. She also authored the New Hampshire Special Education Law book (1st Edition, 2018) and served as editor for the New Hampshire School Law book (1st Edition).

In her free time, Erin enjoys being with her husband and two children. Dedicated to serving the needs of the community, Erin serves on the Board of the Crisis Center of Central New Hampshire and the Board of the Granite Visiting Nurses Association.
