Rachel Sears Joins Drummond Woodsum's School Law and Special Education Practice
Drummond Woodsum is pleased to welcome Rachel Sears to the firm’s School Law and Special Education practice. In her practice, Rachel represents public school districts in a wide range of legal issues with an emphasis on special education and disability law. Rachel is an experienced litigator who appears in special education due process proceedings and in appeals before the U.S. District Court and the First Circuit Court of Appeals.
Prior to Drummond Woodsum, she practiced at another Maine law firm where she practiced special education and trust and estate law. Rachel served as a law clerk for the Hon. John A. Woodcock, Jr. in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine. She also worked previously as a Senior Account Manager at Google and Presidential Management Fellow at the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
Rachel is a graduate of the University of Maine School of Law where she received her law degree, summa cum laude. She is also a graduate of Stanford University where she received both masters and bachelor’s degrees.
