Gretchen Jones is a trusted advisor with decades of experience representing businesses and financial institutions across a broad range of transactional, regulatory, and legislative matters. Known for her practical, solutions-oriented approach and deep commitment to client service, she works closely with clients to help them operate effectively, remain compliant, and serve their own customers with confidence.

Her practice includes serving as general outside counsel and advising on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, business finance, charter conversions, and organizational transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations.

A recognized authority in financial services regulation, Gretchen is a frequent presenter to industry groups including the America’s Credit Unions, Maine Bankers Association, Maine Credit Unions’ Compliance Council, state credit union leagues, and local Chambers of Commerce.

She has held leadership roles in the Maine State Bar Association, including serving as Chair of the Consumer and Financial Institution Law Section, and remains active as a member of the Business Law Section. She has also served on the Maine Bar Association’s Grievance Commission and the Red Mass Committee for the Diocese of Portland.
