Practice Overview
Drummond Woodsum’s public finance legal law team serves as bond counsel and issuer’s counsel on behalf of municipalities, school districts, counties, and other governmental entities. Both the Maine Municipal Bond Bank and the New Hampshire Municipal Bond Bank have approved us to serve as bond counsel for its local school and municipal clients. We are also listed in the “Red Book” as recognized bond counsel for Maine and New Hampshire.
We have extensive experience with many aspects of public finance law including tax exempt bonds, tax credit bonds, tax and revenue anticipation notes, and lease purchase agreements, and related tax compliance issues.
More generally, we our public finance legal team advises our public sector clients on a wide range of financial and business matters, including local budget authorization, tax assessment, education funding, school reorganization, employee benefits, public bidding, and procurement. We also have extensive experience representing the public owner in all aspects of construction projects.
