Litigation Attorney – Probate/Real Estate

We seek an experienced real estate and probate litigator to join the Trial Services Group in our Portland, Maine office. If you bring at least 3-5 years of experience and a passion for these areas of law, we want to hear from you!

In this position, you’ll focus on real estate and probate litigation matters, offering you an opportunity to showcase your expertise with clients and in the courtroom. You will work closely with other litigators, as well as the firm’s real estate and probate subject matter experts, on cases ranging from boundary disputes, to quiet title actions, to guardianship and will contests.

We seek an associate attorney to join the Trial Services Group in our Portland, Maine office. If you’re someone who’s gained litigation experience in a law firm, government practice, or through clerking, we want to hear from you!

Our litigation attorneys are involved in a wide variety of civil and criminal litigation matters in Federal, State, and Tribal courts, as well as before administrative agencies and arbitration panels. Our experienced litigators represent a broad spectrum of clients in all types of cases, including business and commercial, bankruptcy, civil rights, employment, education, professional negligence, and real estate related disputes.

Help Desk Technician

Help Desk Technician
Portland, Maine

Drummond Woodsum is seeking a full-time Help Desk Technician to join our IT team and support our attorneys and staff in their day-to-day technology needs, scheduled for 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Friday. This position will be based in our Portland, Maine office, with reimbursed travel to our satellite offices in New Hampshire so a current license and reliable transportation is required. Prior experience in a legal setting is a plus, but we will train the right person who has a combination of technical skills and experience, along with the motivation and ability to learn new skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site and remote support (via telephone, video conference, etc.) to employees and guests for company issued/approved computer systems, devices, applications, or other related issues
  • Prioritize and execute tasks in demanding situations, and respond positively and accurately to a variety of requests
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide answers by identifying problems, researching answers, and guiding clients through corrective steps and educating to reduce reoccurring issues
  • Provide training to end users on systems, programs, and procedures

Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent technical knowledge of standard hardware, software, and peripheral accessories
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Present ideas and technical information to our employees in a user-friendly manner
  • Be self-motivated, personally committed to excellence, and interested in contributing to a teamwork-oriented environment
  • Experience with document management systems and legal services technology is a plus, particularly LMS and WorkSite
