New Hampshire Kids Find Joy in Exercise, with the Help of Julia Pothen's Healthy Kids Running Series

HEALTHY KIDS RUNNING SERIES NOW OFFERING FIVE-WEEK, RACE SERIES IN WHITE PARK TO HELP CHILDREN MAINTAIN AN ACTIVE, HEALTHY LIFESTYLE.
FIRST OF FIVE CONSECUTIVE SUNDAY RACES SET FOR APRIL 10 AT 3 P.M.

Healthy Kids Running Series, a national inclusive and fun youth running experience, inspiring boys and girls (ages 2-14) to believe in themselves and lead an active, healthy lifestyle, is conducting a five-week spring running Series featuring once-a-week racing at White Park (1 White Street, Concord, NH), beginning Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 3 p.m. Registration is now open at HealthyKidsRunningSeries.org.

“We want all Concord-area kids to find joy in movement and in being outdoors with their family & friends. We welcome runners and walkers of all levels” said Julia Pothen, Community Coordinator of the Concord, NH Healthy Kids Running Series.

Healthy Kids Running Series is a five-week program with once-a-week races on Sundays, beginning April 10 with age-appropriate race distances for kids ages 2 to 14. Kids compete each week in their designated age or grade level division. Every participant will receive a T-Shirt and Medal. Registration starts at $35 for the five-week Series and is open now at HealthyKidsRunningSeries.org. Healthy Kids Running Series programming is supported by Stride Rite.

“We are closely following the guidelines as suggested by the CDC and have implemented measures to ensure our runners and their families feel safe on event day,” said Tamara Conan, Vice President, Healthy Kids Running Series. “We recognize and understand these are challenging times, but we are offering our runners and their families a unique experience that teaches kids effort, perseverance, persistence, sportsmanship, independence and a love for being active outdoors.”
