Kasia Park and Susan Weidner Present at New Chief’s and Sherriff’s Seminar at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy

The New Chief’s seminar is about a weeklong course and is required by the Academy for new leadership in law enforcement. Attorneys Park and Weidner presented to an audience of 12 new Chiefs of Police (or deputy chiefs) in their session. Their session covered civil liability for law enforcement officers, including an overview of litigation, updates on the law, and a discussion of the most common cases they litigate. During the presentation, Park and Weidner included examples involving video and audio of actual real-life events.
