Isabel Ekman to Lead Maine’s School Law Practice at Drummond Woodsum
Drummond Woodsum, a leading law firm specializing in education law, is pleased to announce that Isabel Ekman will be assuming the role of practice group leader for the Maine School Law practice, effective immediately.
Isabel is an experienced litigator and advisor who brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new position. She has successfully represented school districts in a wide range of legal matters, including special education and disability law, student rights, student discipline, and Title IX issues.

Her expertise has also been recognized through her numerous publications on these topics and her frequent invitations to present at conferences and events.

Isabel will be working closely with James O’Shaughnessy, leader of Drummond Woodsum’s New Hampshire school law practice, to represent schools throughout both states. Together, Isabel and Jim lead a team of attorneys and consultants who provide comprehensive legal services, ensuring that schools are equipped to navigate the complex legal landscape of education.
