E. William Stockmeyer is Elected Managing Director of Drummond Woodsum

Drummond Woodsum has announced E. William (Bill) Stockmeyer as the firm’s new Managing Director, succeeding George T. (Toby) Dilworth who has served as Managing Director since March of 2022. Toby will continue to practice law at the firm, focusing on commercial litigation and white-collar defense. Said Dilworth, “It has been a privilege to serve as the Managing Director, and I’m confident that Bill will guide the firm to the next level.”

Bill Stockmeyer began his career at Drummond Woodsum in 1985 as a summer associate and joined the firm as an attorney in 1986. Reflecting on his time with the firm, Bill shared, “The firm has experienced tremendous growth throughout my time, especially over the last ten years. While growth for its own sake is not our express purpose, Drummond Woodsum attracts top-tier lawyers who find the environment here refreshing and well-suited to their careers and practices.”

Bill Stockmeyer devotes his practice to advising schools, municipalities, and other local government entities on a wide variety of ever-evolving financial and business matters. Leader of the firm’s Public Finance Group, Bill is rated AV, the highest rating awarded by Martindale Hubbell, is listed in Best Lawyers in America in both Public Finance Law and Education Law, and is elected to the American College of Bond Counsel.
