Drummond Woodsum Welcomes Denae Barton as a New Member of the Business and Corporate Practice Group
Drummond Woodsum is pleased to welcome Denae Barton as a member of the Business and Corporate practice group. Dee focuses her practice on transactional tax law. She advises individuals and businesses with international tax concerns – whether based on residence, citizenship, or business activities. Dee’s early career experience in the International Tax group of a “big four” accounting firm helped her gain the necessary experience to help clients understand and comply with the particularly complex tax requirements for cross-border matters. Prior to joining Drummond Woodsum, Dee worked at a boutique law firm in Boston where she advised clients on their federal tax matters, helped clients understand how their business structures impacted their companies’ tax burdens, and assisted in the negotiation of tax aspects of business deals.
“We are thrilled to have Dee join our firm. The addition of her expertise allows us to serve our client’s needs and help them meet their strategic objectives,” said Benjamin Marcus, Managing Director.
Dee is a graduate of Boston University School of Law, where she completed both her J.D. and her LL.M. in Taxation. While at Boston University School of Law, Dee served as an editor on the Boston University International Law Journal.
