Drummond Woodsum Announces Four New Shareholders

Drummond Woodsum, a leading northern New England law firm, is pleased to announce that it has promoted four of its associate attorneys to shareholders of the firm.  Lisa R. Magnacca, Allen L. Kropp and Reid Hayton-Hull based in the Portland, Maine office, and Christina Simpson de Reyes who practices in the firm’s Manchester, NH office are now among the owners of the firm.

Each year, the firm’s shareholders invite those associate attorneys who have distinguished themselves through their legal accomplishments, community involvement, collegiality and teamwork to promote to shareholder status.  “These four new shareholders and others from recent years and others who will join us in the future share our commitment to our clients and our commitment to maintain a special place to practice law,” commented Benjamin Marcus, Managing Director.

Lisa R. Magnacca brings over a decade’s worth of experience in real estate development and management to her legal career. She has been with the firm for seven years and prior to that, she worked for a prominent real estate management company headquartered in Maine. She is a member of the firm’s Business Services, Real Estate, and Affordable Housing and Community Development practices. Lisa represents individuals, businesses, developers, municipalities and tribal nations on a variety of corporate and commercial transactions, as well as real estate acquisition, development and financings.

Allen L. Kropp is a member of the School & Education, Higher Education, and Labor and Employment Practice Groups and has been with the firm for over 3 years.  Allen has extensive expertise in civil rights compliance, program administration, and educating schools, colleges, students, parents, and other stakeholders on civil rights and disability matters. Previously, Allen served in several roles within the United States Department of Education, including Deputy Chief Attorney and Interim Director of the Office for Civil Rights Regional Office in Boston.

Reid Hayton-Hull focuses her practice on commercial transactions and commercial real estate and has been with the firm for four years.  She represents individuals, businesses, municipalities, and tribes in matters involving business acquisitions and sales, business start-ups and formations, commercial financing, secured transactions, and the purchase, sale, financing, leasing and development of commercial real estate.

Christina Simpson de Reyes has been with the firm for eight years and is a member of the firm’s Immigration Services Group, where she focuses her practice in the areas of employment and family immigration law.  She also assists private and public employers with labor condition applications and I-9 compliance.
