Attorneys Mona Movafaghi and Christina Simpson De Reyes present on Navigating the U.S. Immigration System in Changing Times

Drummond Woodsum Attorneys, Mona Movafaghi and Christina Simpson De Reyes, recently presented a webinar on Navigating the U.S. Immigration System in Changing Times in conjunction with the New Hampshire Department of Resources and Economic Development (DRED). New Hampshire Governor, Chris Sununu, and the DRED Commissioner Jeffrey Rose, hosted the webinar for more than 20 Canadian companies in an effort to promote business opportunities available in New Hampshire.

New Hampshire’s business friendly low tax rate, quality of life, and skilled workforce are attractive qualities to prospective companies wanting to set up shop in the United States. However, in today’s immigration climate, navigating the United States Immigration Visa system can be a challenge for companies and their employees. In this presentation, Mona and Christina provided practical information and considerations for Canadian companies that want to establish a business presence in New Hampshire. They covered several business immigration options as well as pointers on how to avoid investors and/or employees denial of entry to the United States. Because immigration law is federal law, our immigration practice group can assist companies or individuals with immigration matters in any state in the USA.
