Attorney Elek Miller to Speak as Keynote at the METDA Photocopier and Printer Showcase

The Maine Educational Technology Directors Association (METDA) has invited Elek Miller to be their keynote speaker at their inaugural Photocopier and Printer Showcase and Learning Event.  Elek will discuss the intersections of technology and the law, especially as it pertains to print, copy and document management. He will cover topics including privacy, copyright, human resources and document retention.

Elek is the head of Drummond Woodsum’s Privacy and Data Security Practice Group, and practices in the areas of intellectual property and technology, labor & employment, and general school law.  He works with public and private sector organizations to find efficient, effective, and creative solutions to legal issues in these areas.

The event is April 25th at Holiday Inn By the Bay in Portland and focuses on the copying, printing, and document management needs of k-12 schools.
