Drummond Woodsum Names Kellie Fisher Group Head of Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Practice

Drummond Woodsum is pleased to announce that Kellie Fisher has been named Group Head of the firm’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring, and Creditors’ Rights Practice.
Kellie focuses her practice on bankruptcy matters, commercial litigation, and transactions involving distressed companies. She routinely represents financial institutions, official and ad hoc creditors’ committees, lenders, debtors, asset purchasers, equity holders, and trustees in complex restructuring matters in New England and across the country.
With a sophisticated understanding of the restructuring and insolvency landscape, Kellie advises clients at all stages of the restructuring and bankruptcy process, including DIP lending and cash collateral issues, plan negotiation and drafting, asset sales, and bankruptcy litigation. She also regularly represents clients in out-of-court restructurings, foreclosures, receiverships, and debtor-creditor disputes.

Kellie is deeply engaged in the legal community and is a frequent speaker on bankruptcy and distressed debt issues for organizations including the American Bankruptcy Institute, the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges, and the Maine Bar Association. She currently serves as chair of the Maine Bankruptcy Court Local Rules Committee and co-chair of the board of the New England chapter of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC). Kellie is also a member of the Scarborough Public Library Board of Trustees.
Prior to joining Drummond Woodsum, Kellie practiced as a restructuring attorney at an international law firm in Boston. Kellie earned her Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School and her bachelor’s from Colby College.
