Tax

Practice Overview

The core of Drummond Woodsum’s tax law practice consists of transaction-related tax planning law for individuals, business entities, investors, government entities and Indian tribal enterprises. We counsel on the full range of federal, state and Indian tax law issues that arise in structuring strategic, commercial and financial transactions. Our attorneys add significant value to these transactions by creating tax-efficient structures and providing innovative, practical solutions to the tax issues that challenge our clients.

Our tax attorneys frequently work as part of an interdisciplinary team with the firm’s Business Services Group. We have a depth and breadth of experience in the most challenging areas of tax law, including corporate mergers; acquisitions and divestitures; partnerships, LLCs and other joint ventures; venture capital transactions; real estate; community economic development transactions; Indian tribal tax issues; and commercial financing transactions.
