Cassidy Neal advises cannabis, hemp, and CBD businesses on the rapidly-evolving state and federal laws that govern their operations. Cassidy also has substantial experience with entity formation, business planning, trademarks, state and local licensing, regulation and compliance, general service agreements, commercial leases, zoning, and other issues that cannabis-based businesses often encounter. Cassidy’s strong communication skills and attention to detail help his clients ensure their business is as successful as possible.
Prior to Drummond Woodsum, Cassidy’s practice included residential and commercial real estate, corporate and business law, as well as zoning and land use development. Cassidy attended the NHAC Correctional Academy (receiving the Honor Graduate award for his class) and was a corrections officer before pivoting to law. In law school, Cassidy earned a Sports and Entertainment Law Certificate and an Intellectual Property Law Certificate from the Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property. While at UNH Law, Cassidy gained practical experience with trademark registration and litigation, as well as assisting in contract negotiations, endorsement deals, and the drafting of new players for a Major League Baseball Player-Agent.
In his free time, Cassidy enjoys golfing, skiing, playing the guitar, traveling, and giving back to the community. Cassidy is the Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland, and volunteers as an assistant soccer coach at Deering High School.
