About

Austyn Carolin is a member of Drummond Woodsum’s Trial Services Group, where she provides advice and counsel to clients on complex civil litigation.  As an associate, she assists in civil trial work, representing plaintiffs and defendants in various matters, including insurance defense, construction litigation, and defending Section 1983 civil rights claims.

Prior to Drummond Woodsum, Austyn practiced at a prominent Connecticut firm where she focused on maritime litigation. Austyn worked primarily with insurance companies and large international P&I clubs, participating in multi-district litigation for large cargo loss claims and working extensively on attaching assets in the United States for companies looking to collect unpaid debts. She was also in charge of all international sanctions work for shipping companies looking to do work in Iran, Venezuela, and Cuba.

At Roger Williams University School of Law, Austyn was a member of the Admiralty Moot Court team and participated in the Judge John R. Brown Admiralty Moot Court Competition as an oral advocate for two consecutive years. While earning her degree, she was a Sea Grant Law Fellow for the Rhode Island Sea Grant Law Fellows Programs at Roger Williams University School of Law.

In her spare time, Austyn enjoys swimming, running, and going to the beach.
